Pen Tool Practice - Micro Pipette

February 2013
After learning some basic skills with the pen tool in Photoshop, the students were given an image of a micro pipette image of a duck and asked to create an illustration (vector graphic) by tracing the image using the pen tool. They had approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the illustration. This is inspired by two similar Photoshop tutorials:
  1. Vector Tutorial by Heath Rowe where he shows how to trace an image of a Mini
  2. Vector Art with Photoshop by Melissa Evans where she shows how to trace a face
